Bee Quilt: hexagone 5, 6 et 7

Encore un message sur des hexagones! Cette fois-ci l'hexagone 5: des petits hexies formant une étoile au milieu; hexagone 6: un nœud Celtique en bleu et deux couleurs de turquoise (chain stitch); hexagone 7: des fleurs en fil dégradé et la majorité des feuilles en basket stitch. Et bien sur le total d'aujourd'hui !

Another post on hexagons ! This time hexagon 5: little hexies that form a star in the middle; hexagon 6: a Celtic knot in blue and  two shades of turquois (chain stitch); hexagon 7: flowers in variegated thread and the majority of the leaves in basket stitch. And of course the total picture as of today !

Nog een post over hexagons ! Deze keer hexagon 5: kleine hexies die een ster in het midden vormen; hexagon 6: een Keltische knoop in blauw en twee tinten turkoise (ketting steek); hexagon 7: bloemen in een draad met kleurverloop en het merendeel van de blaadjes in basket stitch. En natuurlijk het geheel van vandaag !




 





 

Bee Quilt - hexagone 3 et 4

Continuant sur mon thème bleu, voila hexagone 3 et 4 de mon Bee Quilt. Ensuite l'image du total jusqu’à aujourd'hui.

Continuing on my blue theme, my hexagons 3 and 4 on my Bee Quilt. Then the image of the total until today.

Doorgaand op m'n blauwe thema, is hier hexagon 3 en 4 van mijn Bee Quilt. Vervolgens een foto van het geheel tot vandaag.

 

Bee Quilt - hexagone 2 déjà !

Comme j'ai décidé de faire ce Bee Quilt pour moi et que je mettrai dans ma chambre de couture/broderie etc., j'ai fait une hexagone "Brodeuse Bressane" pour aller au milieu de ce quilt.

Because I decided to make this Bee Quilt for myself and because I want to put in my stitching room afterwards, I made this hexagon "Brodeuse Bressane" to go in the middle of this quilt.

Omdat ik heb besloten om deze Bee Quilt voor mijzelf the maken en omdat ik het wil ophangen in mijn handwerkkamer, heb ik deze hexagon "Brodeuse Bressane" gemaakt voor het midden van deze quilt.

Bee Quilt - hexagone 1

Récemment je m'ai inscrit pour participer au Bee Quilt de Crazy Broderies & Compagnie. Ça veut dire faire des hexagones à son rythme pour finir avec un quilt. A chaque fois qu'on a fini un ou plusieurs hexagones on le montre l'un à l'autre et on s'encourage entre nous....
Voila mon premier essai !
Comme j'habite la Bresse ça commence avec un coq en bluework avec son tissu de dos assorti !

Recently I joined the Bee Quilt by Crazy Broderies & Compagnie. That means that we make hexagones in our own rythm and finish it as a quilt. Every time somebody finishes one or more hexagones we show it to eachother and encourage eachother....
Here's my first try !
Because I live in the Bresse I started with a rooster in bluework with the assorted fabric on the backside!

Ik heb me net ingeschreven voor de Bee Quilt van Crazy Broderies & Compagnie. Dat betekent dat we hexagons in ons eigen tempo maken om ze vervolgens in een quilt te verwerken. Iedere keer als iemand een of meer hexagons af heeft, laat zij deze aan de anderen zien en we moedigen elkaar zo aan....
Hier is mijn eerste poging !
Omdat ik in de Bresse woon ben ik begonnen met een haan in bluework met bijpassende stof op de achterkant !

Créar'Thé - le 16 juin 2013 à Romenay

Brodeuse Bressane sera présente sur cette journée artisanale organisée par l'association "Passion d'Artistes". Cette expo-vente se déroulera dans le quartier des Arts et la Galerie du Musée Centre de Romenay de 10 à 18 heures. C'est également la journée du patrimoine de la région. Venez découvrir le travail des créateurs d'arts potiers, bijoux, sculpteurs, etc.....  et venez nombreux !

Brodeuse Bressane will be present on this arts & crafts day organised by the association "Passion d'Artistes". This market will be held in the arts quarter and in the galerie of the Musée Centre in Romenay (71) from 10.00 to 18.00 pm. This is also the day of the patrimony in the region. Come and discover the work of the artists of pottery, juwelry, sculptors, etc...... and come in great numbers !

Brodeuse Bressane zal aanwezig zijn op deze kunst- en nijverheidsdag georganiseerd door de vereniging "Passion d'Artistes". Deze markt zal worden gehouden in het Kunstkwartier en in de galerie van het Musée Centre in Romenay (71) van 10 tot 18 uur. Dit is ook de dag van het erfgoed in de regio. Kom en ontdek het werk van de verschillende kunstenaars: aardewerk, juwelen, beelden, etc...... en kom in groten getale!

Echange couleurs

Le forum du Chez Nous Les Toquées a organisé une échange dans laquelle on a donné des surprises brodé (et non-brodé) au binôme dans ces couleurs préférées. Sur la première photo se trouve ce que j'ai envoyé à Fanfan27 et sur la deuxième ce que j'ai reçu de Mamynana. Chouette, n'est-ce pas ?!

The forum of Chez Nous Les Toquées organised an exchange where we gave embroidered (and non-embroidered) surprise gifts to the other person in her favourite colours. On the first photo are the things I sent to Fanfan27 and on the second are the gifts I received from Mamynana. Nice, don't you think ?!

Het forum van Chez Nous Les Toquées organiseerde een uitwisseling waarin we geborduurde (en niet-geborduurde) kadootjes gaven aan de andere persoon in haar favoriete kleuren. Op de eerste foto hetgeen ik naar Fanfan 27 heb gestuurd en op de tweede hetggen ik ontvangen heb van Mamynana. Leuk, vind je ook niet ?!

Marque pages

Comme mon fils avait besoin d'une marque page, je lui ai fait une. Et ensuite j'ai fait une autre...... d’après une grille de Kincavelkrosses qui s'appelle "Four seasons band sampler", mais (comme d'habitude) je l'ai changé pas mal.

Because my son needed a bookmark, I made him one. En then I made another..... from a freebie by Kincavelkrosses called "Four seasons band sampler", but (as usual) I change things around a bit.

Omdat mijn zoon een boekenlegger nodig had, heb ik er een voor hem gemaakt. En toen heb ik er nog een gemaakt.... naar een patroon van Kincavelkrosses genaamd "Four seasons band sampler", maar (zoals gewoonlijk) heb ik het een beetje veranderd.

 

Pique-épingles

Voila quelques pique-épingles je viens de faire. Les deux en crazy quilt sont fait selon un tuto de Michelle de Stella-Lily's. Mais au lieu d'un rond de bois au fond j'ai utilisé un couvercle d'un bocal. La troisième est selon une idée de Katie Trott de Sew Katie Jean en modèle log cabin.


Here are a few pincushions I just finished. The two in crazy quilt are made following a tutorial by Michelle of
Stella-Lily's. But instead of a wooden base I used the top of a glass jar. The third one is according to an idea by Katie Trott from Sew Katie Jean in a log cabin.


Hier zijn een paar speldenkussens die ik net heb gemaakt. De twee in crazy quilt zijn gemaakt volgens een werkbeschrijving door Michelle van Stella-Lily's. Maar in plaats van een houten basis heb ik de deksel van een glazen pot gebruikt. De derde is gemaakt volgens een idee van Katie Trott van Sew Katie Jean in een log cabin.

Quilt "Le Jardin" - broderie 2: Coming Up Daisies

Pour le quilt "Le Jardin" du Girls Own Stitching Club de Red Brolly nous avons fait la deuxième redwork broderie : Coming Up Daisies. J'utilise des couleurs un petit peu different que prescit, mais ca se ressemble quand-meme assez, je trouve. Apres 9 de ces broderies tout sera rassembler dans un quilt: LE JARDIN.

For the quilt called "Le Jardin" from the Girls Own Stitching Club by Red Brolly we made the second redwork embroidery: Coming Up Daisies. I used slightly different colours than mentioned but it looks almost the same, I think. After 9 of these embroideries everything will come together in one quilt: LE JARDIN.

Voor de quilt "Le Jardin" van de Girls Own Stitching Club door Red Brolly hebben we het tweede redwork borduurwerkje gemaakt: Coming Up Daisies. Ik heb iets andere kleuren gebruikt dan voorgeschreven, maar het ziet er bijna hetzelfde uit, vind ik. Na 9 van deze borduurwerkjes zal alles verenigd worden in een quilt: LE JARDIN.

Quilt "Pauline's Stars" fini !

Bon, le quilt était déjà fini depuis un moment, mais comme je l'ai offert au parents que hier, je ne pourrais pas vous le montrer avant. Et malgré les problèmes de tension sur ma machine à coudre je pense que je m'ai bien débrouillé. C'est un quilt avec des broderies en point de croix au milieu de chaque étoile et son coussin assorti (fait avec les restes de tissu). Comme il s'agit d'une fille, bien sur que tout est en rose....

Well, the quilt was already finished for a while, but since I gave it to the parents just yesterday, I couldn't show it to you before. And despite problems with the tension on my sewing machine I think I did a fairly good job. It's a quilt with cross-stitch embroidery in the center of each star and it's little pillow (made with the fabric leftovers). Because it's for a girl, it's pink all over of course......

Goed, de quilt was al een tijdje klaar, maar omdat het gisteren pas aan de ouders heb gegeven, kon ik het niet eerder laten zien. En ondanks problemen met de draadspanning van mijn naaimachine denk ik dat ik het er aardig vanaf heb gebracht. Het is een quilt met kruissteek borduurwerk in het midden van elke ster en met een bijpassend kussentje (gemaakt van de restjes stof). Omdat het hier gaat om een meisje, is het natuurlijk allemaal in het roze......

Bonne fête des mères !

Malgré le fait que le reste de l'Europe l'a déjà fêté il y a quelques semaines, en France on dit aujourd'hui "Bonne fête des mères, maman !" Mon fils m'a surpris avec un petit déjeuner tout fait; déjà pour la deuxième fois, parce qu'on a fêtée la fête des mères aussi début mai (malin, n'est-ce pas?!).

Despite the fact that the rest of Europe has already celebrated mothersday a few weeks ago, in France we say today "Bonne fête des mères, maman !" My son surprised me with a breakfast ready and waiting; already for the second time, because we celebrated mothersday as well at the beginning of mai (clever, he?!).

Ondanks het feit dat de rest van Europa moederdag al een paar weken geleden heeft gevierd, zeggen we in Frankrijk vandaag "Bonne fête des mères, maman !" Mijn zoon verraste me met een kant en klaar ontbijtje; al voor de tweede keer, want we vierden moederdag ook al begin mei (uitgekookt, niet?!).

Une nouvelle grille est sortie dans la boutique : Mandala Frangipani ! C'est en blackwork avec que des oeillets algérien comme points spéciaux, alors pas trop difficile. Il fait 139 x 139 points et le prix sera 8 euros.

A new design just came into the boutique :  Mandala Frangipani ! It's in blackwork with just some algerian eyes as special stitches, so not too difficult. It's 139 x 139 stitches in size and the price will be 8 euros.

Een nieuw ontwerp is in de boutique geland : Mandala Frangipani ! Het is in blackwork met alleen enkele "algerian eyes" als speciale steken, dus niet al te moeilijk. Het is 139 x 139 steken groot en de prijs is 8 euros.

Parce qu'ici le printemps reste froid et pluvieux, j'ai besoin de quelque chose d'estival. Alors, pour vous quelques fraises !

Autour du monde en 80 points - partie 12

 
Partie 12 du SAL Autour du Monde en 80 Points de Papillon Créations est sortie.
Ce mois-ci, nous restons en Australie pour broder un autre point conçu par Mme Gay Eaton dans une technique qui s’appelle « Wessex Stitchery », qu’elle a nommé « Bendigo ». Ensuite, nous passons vers son pays natal — la Nouvelle Zélande — pour broder deux autres points — le point Dunstan et le point Dunedin.

Part 12 of the SAL Around the World in 80 Stitches by Papillon Creations is out.
This month we stay in Australia to work another of Gay Eaton's stitches— Wessex or Bendigo stitch. Then we move to her home of New Zealand and work Dunstan stitch and Dunedin stitch.

Deel 12 van de SAL Around the World in 80 Stitches van Papillon Creations is uitgekomen.
Deze maand blijven we in Australie om nog een van Gay Eatons steken te doen: de Wessex of Bendigo steek. Dan gaan we naar haar geboorteland Nieuw Zeeland voor de Dunstand and Dunedin steek.

Marché Artisanal de Cuisery

Ce weekend, le 18 et 19 mai, Brodeuse Bressane était sur le Marché Artisanal à Cuisery (71). Malgré la météo horrible il y avait quand même pas mal de visiteurs.
Plus de photos, aussi des autres exposants, sur l'album sur FB: Marché de l'artisanat 2013.
Et il y a deja un article dans le Journal du Saône et Loire, avec une photo devant le stand de Brodeuse Bressane !

This weekend, Mai 18 and 19, Brodeuse Bressane was on the Arts and Craft Market in Cuisery (71). Despite the horrible weather there were a decent number of visitors.

And there's already an article in the local newspaper, with a photo in front of the Brodeuse Bressane booth !

Brodeuse Bressane was dit weekend, 18 en 19 mei, op de Marché Artisanal in Cuisery (71). Ondanks de vreselijke weersomstandigheden waren er toch behoorlijk wat bezoekers.

En er staat nu al een artikel in de lokale krant, met een foto voor de stand van Brodeuse Bressane !

Lucky Star BOM Mai - Spotlight Star

Début du mois, alors un autre carré du Lucky Star Quilt de Don't Call Me Betsy: Spotlight Star ! Il y a plus de petits bouts de tissu sur ce carré, alors un petit peu plus difficile, mais le voila !

Beginning of the month, so another block in the Lucky Star Quilt from Don't Call Me Betsy: Spotlight Star ! There are more little bits of fabric in this block, so it's a little more difficult, but there it is !

Begin van de maand, dus een nieuw blok voor de Lucky Star Quilt van Don't Call Me Betsy: Spotlight Star ! Er zitten iets meer kleine stukjes stof in dit blok, dus het is een beetje moeilijker, maar hier is t-ie dan !

Encore une petite ouvrage en redwork. C'est Paris au printemps! Peut être ça sera un mugrug, peut être quelque chose d'autre; je ne sais pas encore......

Another little redwork job. It's Paris in springtime ! Maybe it will be a mugrug, maybe something else; I don't know yet......

Girls Own Stitching Club

Bronwyn du site Red Brolly a commencé le Girls Own Stitching Club. Dans ce club elle explique quelques points et ensuite elle donne une grille à broder comme contrôle. Récemment c’était une grille qui s'appelle Poppy. J'ai changé les couleurs un petit peu, mais c’était très vite a broder et j'aime bien le résultat. Regardez également sur le site Flickr du Girls Own Stitching Club.

Bronwyn from Red Brolly started the Girls Own Stitching Club. In this club she explains certain stitches and then she gives a design to stitch as a sort of exam. Recently it was a design called Poppy. I changed the colours a bit, but it was very quick to stitch and I really like the result.

Bronwyn van Red Brolly is de Girls Own Stitching Club begonnen. In deze club legt ze een aantal steken uit en geeft dan een ontwerp om te borduren als soort van test. Recentelijk was het een ontwerp genaamd Poppy. Ik heb de kleuren een beetje veranderd, maar het was best snel te borduren en ik vind het resultaat ook leuk.

End of the month, so I'm showing you my progress on the embroidery of my pattern "DAISY". This month I finished the centre and in Mai I hope to finish the big square in the middle.

Eind van de maand, dus ik laat jullie mijn vooruitgang zien van het borduren van mijn patroon "DAISY". Deze maand heb ik het centrum afgemaakt en in mei hoop ik het grote vierkant in het midden te borduren.

On the 18th and 19th of Mai 2013 I'll be present on the Marché Artisanal et Créatif in Cuisery (71). For this market I'm busy preparing multiple things, including these scissor fobs.

Autour du Monde en 80 Points - partie 11

La prochaine partie du SAL "Autour du monde en 80 points" de Papillon Créations est arrivée. Ce mois-ci, on part pour le Japon pour broder le point japonais et le point de reprise japonais. Ensuite nous passons vers l’Australie pour broder un point conçu par Mme Gay Eaton dans une technique qui s’appelle « Wessex Stitchery », qu’elle a nommé « Victoria ».

The next stage of the SAL "Around the world in 80 stitches" by Papillon Creations has arrived.
This month move on to Japan to work Japanese stitch and Japanese darning. Then we cross the sea to Australia to work a Wessex Stitchery stitch invented by Mrs. Gay Eaton, which she named Victoria.

Het volgende deel van de SAL "Around the world in 80 stitches" van Papillon Creations is gekomen.
Deze maand gaan we door naar Japan om de Japanse steek en de Japanse steelsteek te doen. Dan gaan naar de overkant naar Australie om de Wessex borduursteek te doen, die is uitgevonden door mevrouw Gay Eaton en die ze "Victoria" heeft genoemd.

Mug rugs et housse de machine à coudre

Je n’étais pas trop présent sur le blog cette semaine, mais ça ne veut pas dire que j'ai rien fait. J'ai fait plusieurs mugrugs (certains même deux fois) et j'ai presque fini mon housse de machine à coudre.
Je viens de finir des broderies pour un échange sur le forum de Chez Nous Les Toquées, mais je ne peux pas encore vous montrer ça. Ça sera pour le fin du mois. Autrement j'ai reçu mes trois Oops packs de Dinky Dyes, alors je pense je ferai un petit peu de broderie.....

I haven't been very present on the blog this week, but this doesn't mean I did nothing. I've been making several mugrugs (some even twice) and I've almost finished my sewing machine cover.
I've just finished some embroidery for an exchange on the forum of Chez Nous Les Toquées, but I can't show you yet. This will be for the end of the month. Otherwise I've received my three Oops packs from Dinky Dyes, so I think I'll do a little bit of embroidery next.....

Ik ben niet erg aanwezig geweest op m'n blog deze week, maar dat betekent niet dat ik niks gedaan heb. Ik heb meerdere mugrugs gemaakt (sommige zelfs twee keer) en ik ben bijna klaar met m'n naaimachinehoes.
Verder ben ik net klaar met het borduren voor een uitwisseling op het forum van Chez Nous Les Toquées, maar dat kan ik jullie nog niet laten zien. Dat zal zijn aan het eind van de maand. Ook heb mijn drie Oops packs van Dinky Dyes ontvangen, dus ik denk dat ik wat ga borduren.....

Craftsy Block of the Month - Avril
