Dutch Treat Challenge: début du Quilt-As-You-Go

J'ai repris mes carrés du Dutch Treat Challenge avec "dinner party", "time warp", "waiting for life", "maltese cross" et "daisy". J'ai pris la décision de faire ce quilt selon le principe de Quilt-As-You-Go (QAYG) et ça veut dire qu'on quilt pendant qu'on progresse. C'est pour ça j'ai fait un carré de 4 carrés appliqués avec des bandes bleu entre les carrés. Le dos de ce carré est bleu, mais chaque carré de 4 aura le dos blanc ou bleu. Comme ça le dos du quilt sera comme les anciens sols de cuisine hollandaises, mais pas en noir et blanc, mais en bleu et blanc.

I took up my blocks for the Dutch Treat Challenge with "dinner party", "time warp", "waiting for life", "maltese cross" and "daisy". I took the decision to make this quilt according to the principle of Quilt-As-You-Go (QAYG) and that means that you quilt during the block making. That's why I made a block out of 4 appliqued blocks with strips of blue between the blocks. The back of this one is blue, but every block of 4 will have a white or a blue back. That way the back of the quilt will be as an old fashioned dutch kitchen floor, just not in black and white, but in blue and white.

Ik ben weer verder gegaan met m'n Dutch Treat Challenge met de blokken "dinner party", "time warp", "waiting for life", "maltese cross" en "daisy". Ik heb besloten om deze quilt te maken volgens het principe van Quilt-As-You-Go (QAYG) en dat betekent dat je quilt terwijl je de blokken maakt. Daarom heb een blok gemaakt van 4 appliquee vierkanten met blauwe banden ertussen. De achterkant van dit blok is blauw, maar ieder blok van 4 zal een witte of een blauwe achterkant hebben. Zodoende zal de achterkant van de quilt eruit zien als een ouderwetse hollandse keukenvloer, alleen niet in zwart-wit, maar in blauw-wit.
