Save the Stitches - Blackwork sampler - 1

Voila la première partie d'un grand broderie blackwork de Blackwork Journey qui s'appelle "Save the Stitches". C'est très agréable à broder. Sur la photo on ne voit pas très bien le fil argenté et je n'ai pas encore ajouté les perles; je ferai ça à la fin. Je ne sais pas quand je broderai la prochaine partie parce que je ferai ça dans mon "temps libre"....

Here's the first part of a big blackwork sampler by Blackwork Journey called "Save the Stitches". It's very nice to stitch this. On the picture the silver thread isn't very visible and I've not yet added the beads; I'll do that at the end. I don't know when I'll be stitching the next part because I'll be doing that in my "free time".....

Hier is het eerste deel van een grote blackwork sampler van Blackwork Journey die "Save the Stitches" heet. Het borduurt heel prettig. Op de foto is het zilverdraad niet goed te zien en ik heb de kraaltjes nog niet toegevoegd; dat doe ik pas aan het eind. Ik weet niet wanneer ik het volgende deel zal borduren, want ik zal dat in m'n "vrije tijd" doen.....

  2. I'm also thinking of doing this one. What fabric and color thread are you using? It doesn't look like black.

    1. I'm using a variegated blue/purple thread by DMC (4240) and a silver thread from the Mettler metallic line.
