Girls Own Stitching Club

Bronwyn du site Red Brolly a commencé le Girls Own Stitching Club. Dans ce club elle explique quelques points et ensuite elle donne une grille à broder comme contrôle. Récemment c’était une grille qui s'appelle Poppy. J'ai changé les couleurs un petit peu, mais c’était très vite a broder et j'aime bien le résultat. Regardez également sur le site Flickr du Girls Own Stitching Club.

Bronwyn from Red Brolly started the Girls Own Stitching Club. In this club she explains certain stitches and then she gives a design to stitch as a sort of exam. Recently it was a design called Poppy. I changed the colours a bit, but it was very quick to stitch and I really like the result.

Bronwyn van Red Brolly is de Girls Own Stitching Club begonnen. In deze club legt ze een aantal steken uit en geeft dan een ontwerp om te borduren als soort van test. Recentelijk was het een ontwerp genaamd Poppy. Ik heb de kleuren een beetje veranderd, maar het was best snel te borduren en ik vind het resultaat ook leuk.

Fin du mois, alors je vous montre mes avancées sur la broderie de ma grille "DAISY". Ce mois-ci j'ai fini le centre et en mai j’espère de finir le grand carré du milieu.

End of the month, so I'm showing you my progress on the embroidery of my pattern "DAISY". This month I finished the centre and in Mai I hope to finish the big square in the middle.

Eind van de maand, dus ik laat jullie mijn vooruitgang zien van het borduren van mijn patroon "DAISY". Deze maand heb ik het centrum afgemaakt en in mei hoop ik het grote vierkant in het midden te borduren.

On the 18th and 19th of Mai 2013 I'll be present on the Marché Artisanal et Créatif in Cuisery (71). For this market I'm busy preparing multiple things, including these scissor fobs.

Autour du Monde en 80 Points - partie 11

La prochaine partie du SAL "Autour du monde en 80 points" de Papillon Créations est arrivée. Ce mois-ci, on part pour le Japon pour broder le point japonais et le point de reprise japonais. Ensuite nous passons vers l’Australie pour broder un point conçu par Mme Gay Eaton dans une technique qui s’appelle « Wessex Stitchery », qu’elle a nommé « Victoria ».

The next stage of the SAL "Around the world in 80 stitches" by Papillon Creations has arrived.
This month move on to Japan to work Japanese stitch and Japanese darning. Then we cross the sea to Australia to work a Wessex Stitchery stitch invented by Mrs. Gay Eaton, which she named Victoria.

Het volgende deel van de SAL "Around the world in 80 stitches" van Papillon Creations is gekomen.
Deze maand gaan we door naar Japan om de Japanse steek en de Japanse steelsteek te doen. Dan gaan naar de overkant naar Australie om de Wessex borduursteek te doen, die is uitgevonden door mevrouw Gay Eaton en die ze "Victoria" heeft genoemd.

Mug rugs et housse de machine à coudre

Je n’étais pas trop présent sur le blog cette semaine, mais ça ne veut pas dire que j'ai rien fait. J'ai fait plusieurs mugrugs (certains même deux fois) et j'ai presque fini mon housse de machine à coudre.
Je viens de finir des broderies pour un échange sur le forum de Chez Nous Les Toquées, mais je ne peux pas encore vous montrer ça. Ça sera pour le fin du mois. Autrement j'ai reçu mes trois Oops packs de Dinky Dyes, alors je pense je ferai un petit peu de broderie.....

I haven't been very present on the blog this week, but this doesn't mean I did nothing. I've been making several mugrugs (some even twice) and I've almost finished my sewing machine cover.
I've just finished some embroidery for an exchange on the forum of Chez Nous Les Toquées, but I can't show you yet. This will be for the end of the month. Otherwise I've received my three Oops packs from Dinky Dyes, so I think I'll do a little bit of embroidery next.....

Ik ben niet erg aanwezig geweest op m'n blog deze week, maar dat betekent niet dat ik niks gedaan heb. Ik heb meerdere mugrugs gemaakt (sommige zelfs twee keer) en ik ben bijna klaar met m'n naaimachinehoes.
Verder ben ik net klaar met het borduren voor een uitwisseling op het forum van Chez Nous Les Toquées, maar dat kan ik jullie nog niet laten zien. Dat zal zijn aan het eind van de maand. Ook heb mijn drie Oops packs van Dinky Dyes ontvangen, dus ik denk dat ik wat ga borduren.....

Craftsy Block of the Month - Avril

Et bien sur également un autre BOM de chez Craftsy. Celui d'avril est quatre éventails ensemble dans un carré.

Lucky Star BOM Avril - Black Hole star

Un autre mois commence et ça veut dire un autre BOM (Block Of the Month) du Lucky Star Quilt de Don't Call Me Betsy. Cette fois-ci le "Black Hole Star", apres le chanson "Black Hole Sun" de Soundgarden.

Another month begins and that means another BOM (Block Of the Month) of the Lucky Star Quilt by Don't Call Me Betsy. This time it's the "Black Hole Star", after the song "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden.

Een nieuwe maand begint en dat betekent een nieuwe BOM (Block of the Month) van de Lucky Star Quilt van Don't Call Me Betsy. Deze keer is het de "Black Hole Star", naar het liedje "Black Hole Sun" van Soundgarden.

Redwork Quilt de Noël - carré 1

Carré 1 / Block 1

"Quoi? Elle nous parle de Noël dans le week-end de Paques?"
Eh oui, pour le faire tranquille et à mon ritme j'ai déjà commencée un quilt de Noël. C'est le "The Wish Patchwork Christmas Quilt" de Red Brolly. Il s'agit de 6 grands carrés avec des bords autour. Chaque carré a une ou plusieurs broderies en redwork (broderie traditionnelle).
Je viens de finir le premier carré. Il y a juste les boutons de Père Noël à ajouter....

"What? She talking about Christmas in the Easter weekend?"
Eh yes, because to do this slowly and in my own time I've already started a quilt for Christmas. It's the "The Wish Patchwork Christmas Quilt"  by Red Brolly. It has 6 big blocks with borders around it. Every block has one or more embroidered redwork images.
I've just finished the first block. There are just the buttons on Santa Claus to add.....


"Wat? Heeft ze het over Kerst in het Paasweekend?"Eh ja, want omdat ik dit rustig en in m'n eigen tempo wil doen ben ik al begonnen met een quilt voor Kerst. Het is de "The Wish Patchwork Christmas Quilt"  van Red Brolly. Het heeft 6 grote blokken met randen eromheen. Elk blok heeft een of meer borduursels in redwork.
Ik ben net klaar met het eerste blok. Alleen nog de knoopjes van de Kerstman toevoegen.....

"Daisy" - mars

Voila mon avancée de ce mois de mars sur ma grille "DAISY". Comme je n'ai pas eu beaucoup de temps pour broder, il n'y a pas beaucoup de différence entre la photo de février et celui de mars, mais peut être je vous ai plus à montrer en avril !

Here's my progress of this month of March on my pattern "DAISY". Because I didn't have much time to stitch, there isn't much difference between the photo of February and the one of March, but maybe I'll have more to show you in April !

Hier is mijn vooruitgang van deze maand maart van mijn patroon "DAISY". Omdat ik niet veel tijd had om te borduren, is er niet veel verschil tussen de foto van februari en die van maart, maar misschien kan ik jullie al wat meer laten zien in april !

Panier pour Pâques

Encore 10 jours et c'est Pâques ! J’étais alors heureux de trouver ce panier facile à faire chez A Spoon Full of Sugar. On peut l'utiliser des deux cotés et bien sur le remplir avec des œufs de chocolat !



In 10 days time it will be Easter ! So I was happy to find a easy to sew basket at A Spoon Full of Sugar. You can use it on both sides and of course fill it with chocolate eggs !



Nog 10 dagen en het is Pasen ! Ik was dus blij een makkelijk te maken mandje te vinden bij A Spoon Full of Sugar. Het is aan twee kanten te gebruiken en je kunt het natuurlijk vullen met chocolade eitjes !

Truly Tipsy Nine Patch Quilt (1)

Un autre projet de quilting: le "Truly Tipsy Nine Patch Quilt" ! Trouvé sur le site de Martingale.
Il faut d'abord faire les "blocks" de neuf pas-du-tout-carrés et en suite mettre ce "block" dans un autre "block". L'un penché à gauche, l'autre à droite.
Et maintenant je suis prêt de construire le dessus du quilt ! A la prochaine.....

Another quilting project: the Truly Tipsy Nine Patch Quilt ! I found it on the Martingale site.
First you make the blocks of nine not-so-square-squares and then you put this block in another block. One leaning to the left, the other to the right.
And now I'm ready to make the quilt top ! Until next time.....

Nog een quilt project: de "Truly Tipsy Nine Patch Quilt ! Ik vond dit op the Martingale site.
Eerst maak je een blok van negen niet-zo-vierkante-vierkanten en dan maak je een blok rondom dit blok. De een leunend naar links, de ander naar rechts.
En nu ben ik klaar om de quilt bovenkant te maken ! Tot de volgende keer.......

 

Ceinture de caméra

Aujourd'hui j'ai fait une ceinture pour mon caméra et son sac. En patchwork, bien sur !

Today I made a strap for my camera and for it's bag. In patchwork, of course !

Vandaag heb ik een band voor m'n camera en z'n tas gemaakt. Van patchwork, natuurlijk !

Voila mon progrès sur le SAL 2013 de Seba Designs. Banu nous a dit qu'elle ferait plus des stages "monstrueux", mes ce dernier stage est assez grand...... Mais ça reste une plaisir de le broder, même si ça ne va pas si vite que pensé!

Here's my progress on the SAL 2013 by Seba Designs. Banu told us she wouldn't do "monster" parts anymore, but this last part is fairly big...... But it's still a pleasure to stitch, even if it doesn't go as quickly as I thought !

Hier is mijn voortgang van de SAL 2013 van Seba Designs. Banu had gezegd dat ze geen "monster" delen meer zou geven, maar dit laatste deel is toch aardig groot.... Maar het blijft een plezier om te borduren, zelfs als het niet zo snel gaat als gedacht !

Craftsy Block Of the Month - Mars

BOM Mars - carré B

Encore du patch? Eh oui, parce que je suis aussi un cours chez Craftsy: un carré par mois, pour avoir un quilt à la fin de l’année. Mais ce mois-ci nous avons deux possibilités: un carré A ou un carré B. Et en plus les carrés sont très grands: 17 inch ! Je viens de finir carrés B et peut être je commencerai carré A demain aujourd'hui....

Another patchwork? Eh yes, because I also follow a course from Craftsy: one block a month, so you have a quilt at the end of the year. But this month we have two possibilities: a block A and a block B. And these blocks are very big: 17 inch ! I just finished block B and maybe I'll start block A tomorrow today....

Nog meer patchwork? Eh ja, want ik volg ook een cursus van Craftsy: een blok per maand, zodat je een quilt hebt aan het eind van het jaar. Maar deze maand hebben we twee mogelijkheden: een blok A en een blok B. En deze blokken zijn erg groot: 17 inch ! Ik heb zojuist blok B gemaakt en misschien begin ik morgen vandaag met blok A....

Lucky Star BOM March - Ninja Star

C'est le 1er mars alors un autre Lucky Star BOM de Don't Call Me Betsy à faire. En mars le carré s'appelle NINJA STAR. Il n'est pas tout à fait droit, mais j'ai fait un effort.....

It's the first of March so another Lucky Star BOM from Don't Call Me Betsy to make. In March the block is called NINJA STAR. It's not quite straight, but I made an effort....

Het is 1 maart dus weer een Lucky Star BOM van Don't Call me Betsy te maken. In maart heet het blok NINJA STAR. Het is niet helemaal recht, maar ik heb m'n best gedaan....

Set de thé en patch

Je n'ai pas seulement fait des "mug rugs" en quilting, mais aussi un set de thé ! Il s'agit d'une couvre-théière, une sous-théière et 4 sous-tasses. La modèle de la sous-théière et les sous-tasses viennent de Refabulous; la modèle de la couvre-théière j'ai fait moi-même.

Not only did I make some mug rugs in quilting, but also a tea set ! It has a tea-cosy, a teapot trivet and 4 coasters. The pattern for the teapot trivet and the coasters comes from Refabulous; the pattern for the tea-cosy I made myself.

Ik heb niet alleen maar "mug rugs" in quilt gemaakt, maar ook een thee set ! Deze bestaat uit een theemuts een theepot onderzetter en 4 onderzetters. Het patroon van de theepot onderzetter en de onderzetters komt van Refabulous; het patroon voor de theemuts heb ik zelf gemaakt.

Mug Rug : House

Un autre "mug rug" parce qu'ils vont tellement plaisir: quand on les fabrique et quand on les utilise ! Voici une maison selon la modèle de The Sometimes Crafter. Elle a utilisé un autre technique pour les fenêtres et la porte.

Another mug rug because they give so much pleasure: when you make them and when you use them ! Here's a little cottage from the template by The Sometimes Crafter. She uses another technique for the windows and the door.

Nog een "mug rug" want ze zijn zo plezierig: als je ze maakt en als je ze gebruikt ! Hier is een klein huisje volgens een patroon van The Sometimes Crafter. Zij gebruikt een andere techniek voor de ramen en de deur.

SAL Autour du monde en 80 points - partie 10

La prochaine partie du SAL "Autour du monde en 80 points" de Papillon Créations est arrivée. Ce mois-ci, nous restons en Chine pour broder le point pékinois, et ensuite nous passons vers l’Inde pour broder le point d’hareng indien. Finalement nous traversons l’océan pour faire escale au Sri Lanka pour broder le point Ceylan.

The next stage of the SAL "Around the world in 80 stitches" by Papillon Creations has arrived. This month remain in China to stitch Pekinese stitch. We then move on to India to work Indian Herringbone. Finally we cross the sea to Sri Lanka and work Ceylon stitch.

Het volgende deel van de SAL "Around the world in 80 stitches" van Papillon Creations is gekomen. Deze maand blijven we in China om de Pekinese steek te doen. We gaan dan door naar India voor de Indiase Herringbone steek. Tenslotte steken we de zee over naar Sri Lanka voor de Ceylon steek.
